Zemun

Zemun

Zemun is a collection of projects created by Dusan Misic in 2005 and is situated in Pemba, Mozambique, on the east cost of the peninsula. It consists of a farming project, a timber project and a holiday housing project, each of which is designed to work in synergy with one another thereby forming an independent system, self reliant system, while at the same time contributing towards the social and economical development of Pemba.

Pemba, Mozambique was chosen as the home of Zemun because it is one of the last known paradises that has been left unharmed by pollution and the expansion of the human race. Pemba is truly magnificent and has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Zemun's philosophy is to work with the environment and minimize environmental impact, working to support and develop the local ecology as well as to improve the social economic welfare of the local people that call Pemba their home.
